Fred Michael St. George, age 71, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Ft. Riley, KS on May 26, 1949 to the late Robert and Marie (Paduano) St. George.
Fred was a 1967 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and later earned his associates degree in accounting from Erie Business College. He was a veteran of the US Navy, where he proudly served on the aircraft carrier “Independence” He also worked for Sheldon Carpets for many years. He also enjoyed traveling on road trips and enjoyed all animals, but especially his dogs.
In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Lee (Ballman) St. George in 2003, three infant sons, Michael J. St. George, James J. St. George, and Michael F. St. George, a sister, Patricia Kish, and a brother, Joseph J. St. George.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Jo (Freitas) St. George of Erie, three sisters Romana Covatto (Armand) of Erie, Ann Banko of Erie, and Theresa Howell of Erie, one brother, Robert St. George, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.

Due to expected inclement weather, the funeral for Ronald John Alfieri has been postponed until next Saturday (1/26/19)
We at the Veterans Miracle Center have received some bad news. We lost one of our Original Founders last week and our Heart and Prayers are with the family.
Ron was a super guy and will be sadly missed.
Ronald John Alfieri (May 15, 1947 – January 12, 2019)
Ronald John Alfieri (71) of Jamestown, NY, passed away unexpectedly in his home with his wife of 48 years, Linda (Jenkins) Alfieri, at his side. His family and friends know that he is at home with his Lord and Savior. Ron will be remembered as a servant leader; a strong man of faith and family, who was always ready to pray with anyone in need.
A longtime resident of Jamestown, NY, he was born and raised in Erie, PA to the late Theodore and Olga (Valenti) Alfieri and maintained strong family, friendship, church, and work ties to Erie throughout his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and a 1969 graduate of Gannon University. He was an active member of Lake Erie Church and a co-founder of the Veterans Miracle Center of Erie.
Ron served as a Lieutenant in the Army in Heilbronn, Germany, during the Vietnam era. He valued meeting the needs of Veterans and their families and most recently was the founder and director of the Veterans Miracle Center of Jamestown. His career was spent in marketing/sales, and he used his vast experiences for ministry to the Church in the Erie and Jamestown communities. He loved driving, fellowship, and sharing with others the history and attractions of New York and Pennsylvania.
Ron will be greatly missed by his family: Linda (Jenkins) Alfieri, his wife of 48 years; daughter Mari Alfieri Harris of Lake Charles, LA; daughter and husband, Gina and Jeremy Ward of Jamestown, NY; daughter and husband, Laura and Marc Samworth of Frewsburg, NY; grandchildren Andrew and Rachael Ward, Theodore Harris, and Eliana and Nathan Samworth; sister Marie Tharp of Erie, PA; sister and husband Kathy and Tom Martin of The Villages, FL; brother and wife Richard and Elaine Alfieri of Monroeville, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held in Erie, PA on Saturday, January 19 at Lake Erie Church, 1565 W. 38th Street. Visitation at 11 a.m., Memorial Service at 12 p.m.; with lunch following at the church. On Sunday, January 20 at Frewsburg Alliance Church, 60 Falconer Street, Frewsburg, Visitation from 3 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Veterans Miracle Center of Jamestown, 433 Buffalo Street, Jamestown, NY 14701, are gratefully accepted.
